00:00:18 00:00:21 Hello my name is Stafania Santinello, I’m from Venezuela.
00:00:23 00:00:27 Hello I’m Naoki, I’m 24 years old, I’m from Japan.
00:00:27 00:00:30 I think Seattle is a really good city to study
00:00:31 00:00:34 because Seattle is like a small town in a big city.
00:00:35 00:00:38 There must be something special about this place.
00:00:38 00:00:43 Nivana comes from Seattle, Jimi Hendrix, Starbucks, I love it.
00:00:45 00:00:48 I think that all the staff here in Kaplan is so friendly.
00:00:48 00:00:52 Always they will help you when you want to ask something.
00:00:52 00:00:55 We have a great staff here at Kaplan International Centre Seattle.
00:00:55 00:01:00 Many have worked here for 10 years or longer, so we have a very experienced staff.
00:01:00 00:01:03 They like to keep things fun and we always treat students
00:01:04 00:01:05 like they were part of our family here.
00:01:06 00:01:09 We have two buildings within a block of each other here in Seattle,
00:01:09 00:01:13 so you’re going to get your exercise going up and down the street.
00:01:13 00:01:15 We have great facilities,
00:01:15 00:01:19 we have lounges where students can have lunch and hang out with each other.
00:01:19 00:01:22 We have a computer lab for test practise.
00:01:23 00:01:27 This location I think is the best one in Seattle to study.
00:01:27 00:01:30 Everything around here is for students.
00:01:31 00:01:34 University way is full of restaurants and bars.
00:01:34 00:01:36 Seattle is full of coffee,
00:01:37 00:01:40 there are a lot of coffee shops where you can go and study
00:01:40 00:01:43 because all the coffee shops have free wifi.
00:01:43 00:01:47 Opposite Kaplan is Solsticks, my favourite coffee shop.
00:01:48 00:01:51 It is very comfortable and the coffee is very delicious.
00:01:57 00:02:00 We have so many wonderful activities here in Seattle.
00:02:00 00:02:02 One of our activities is called the Amazing Race,
00:02:03 00:02:06 where students form teams of 4 to 5 people
00:02:06 00:02:10 and they go around the city of Seattle looking for clues that we give them.
00:02:10 00:02:12 The team that is able to complete all of these tasks first
00:02:13 00:02:16 and come back to our centre will receive a prize.
00:02:17 00:02:21 It’s really fun because you run around the city taking photos
00:02:21 00:02:25 and it’s a really good way to know Seattle.
00:02:28 00:02:30 We have different accommodation options here in Seattle.
00:02:30 00:02:33 One of the options is a homestay with a native family.
00:02:33 00:02:37 One of the benefits of living with a homestay is that students are able to communicate
00:02:37 00:02:40 and practice their English with a family
00:02:40 00:02:42 and also to learn the culture here in America.
00:02:43 00:02:46 Another option that we have in Seattle is a studio apartment building
00:02:46 00:02:48 that is right next to our school.
00:02:49 00:02:50 I’m living in an apartment here,
00:02:50 00:02:53 it’s really comfortable place, really clean,
00:02:54 00:02:58 the kitchen is full of all the stuff that you need,
00:02:58 00:03:00 you have everything.
00:03:00 00:03:05 I’m so happy here because my English is sounding better now,
00:03:05 00:03:08 it’s a great place to study and learn.
00:03:08 00:03:13 Before I come here actually I couldn’t speak English very much
00:03:14 00:03:19 but my English is getting better and better, I hope!
