00:00:11 00:00:13 Hello I’m Amaia, from Spain
00:00:16 00:00:18 Hi I’m Thomas Jud. I’m from Switzerland.
00:00:22 00:00:26 Torquay is a really nice town, there are beaches, there’s a habour
00:00:26 00:00:29 and there’s lots of boats to see, it’s great.
00:00:30 00:00:34 My favourite to do here in Torquay is I like to walk.
00:00:34 00:00:37 The view on the sea is so nice and wonderful.
00:00:37 00:00:41 And you have good ways to go to the harbour it’s only 15minutes
00:00:42 00:00:47 and for the shopping centres and so on it’s all in the near area.
00:00:50 00:00:52 Students come to Kaplan International Torquay,
00:00:52 00:00:54 and they get an all round experience.
00:00:55 00:00:57 We’ve got a lovely school here with our own cafeteria,
00:00:57 00:01:01 8 computer down stairs which students can use for their own personal use.
00:01:01 00:01:04 And we also have a lovely garden, with our own swimming pool
00:01:04 00:01:06 which is open throughout the summer.
00:01:06 00:01:08 We’ve also got fantastic teachers,
00:01:08 00:01:13 very well experienced and highly qualified and they’ve got the ability to really focus
00:01:13 00:01:15 on students and their individual needs.
00:01:16 00:01:18 The teachers are very friendly
00:01:18 00:01:22 and you can come forward in your English, speaking, listening, writing.
00:01:23 00:01:27 It’s an easy way to learn in a short time to speak better English.
00:01:30 00:01:34 We have lots of fantastic host families all within 25 minute walking distance
00:01:35 00:01:36 of the school.
00:01:36 00:01:40 Also as part of that we are able to offer executive standard accommodation
00:01:41 00:01:45 which means that the students have an ensuite bathroom and also things like
00:01:45 00:01:47 a wireless internet connection.
00:01:47 00:01:50 It’s very nice to stay with them, you can eat with them together,
00:01:51 00:01:55 watch movies, fun time. You can learn a lot about the English life.
00:01:55 00:02:01 They look over you all days, they are really great and I like to stay here.
00:02:04 00:02:07 We have a very varied social programme in Torquay.
00:02:07 00:02:12 We have a full time driver guide and our own mini bus which is wonderful.
00:02:13 00:02:16 We have many places we can take the students.
00:02:16 00:02:20 We have Cockington Village which is a 14th century medieval village
00:02:20 00:02:21 with souvenir shops.
00:02:21 00:02:24 We have Kents Cavern one of the oldest prehistoric caves in the UK.
00:02:25 00:02:27 We have the Model Village and we have the Living Coast.
00:02:28 00:02:33 The Living Coast is where I can see a lot of penguins and lots of sea animals,
00:02:34 00:02:35 it was a lot of fun.
00:02:40 00:02:46 Torquay has a great night life with shows, with different restaurants, different pubs.
00:02:46 00:02:48 Also different music.
00:02:49 00:02:52 There are a lot of things to do there such as dancing
00:02:53 00:02:58 or sometimes there are shows. The other day we saw a magician there.
00:02:58 00:03:03 I think it was really good because he was doing all the tricks in front of you.
00:03:04 00:03:08 The best thing of coming here I think is not just learning English
00:03:08 00:03:11 with your teacher, is that you meet people from all over the world
00:03:11 00:03:15 so that you can speak with them in English so that’s great.
