||Alright, GPSs are getting more
and more common,
||and they're also getting more
and more complex.
||Look at the size of this thing.
It's incredibly small, it's from TomTom.
||And it's not common.
And it's not complex.
||In fact, it's really easy to use.
TomTom is well known
||for being one of the easiest to use
GPS systems on the planet.
||They make it as simple as possible
for you, and of course,
||when you're in your car,
and you're driving around,
||you want as few distractions as possible
so you can stay as safe as possible.
||Right? So, if you've got all these crazy menus,
and all of these crazy options
||inside of your GPS, there's a good chance
you might be a little distracted. Right?
||This one will make sure you're not.
Why? Because it's really simple to use,
||and it's got text-to-speech capability built
right in, so it's going to speak
||all of your directions to you
including road names, street numbers,
||everything. It's not just gonna give you
the generic, turn left ahead.
||It's gonna say, turn left
on Flagler Street.
||So, it's gonna make it really, really easy
where you don't even have to look
||at the GPS to get to your destination.
Now, TomTom, as I was saying,
||is world renowned for making the easiest
to use GPS systems on the market,
||and I'll show you why.
If you take a look at this,
||you're going to find that it's got a,
just an ultra simple menu system.
||This is actually the 3-D view.
It does do 3-D.
||That's showing where we are
located right now. Alright?
||Now, it gives you a great view,
a great first person perspective
||of where you are. This is your
menu system, and this is it.
||Thos are all of your
menu options, right there.
||Two pages of menu options.
Very, very easy to use.
||In fact, all you have to do
if you want to navigate to somewhere,
||see that "Navigate To"?
Simply tap that button,
||it will give you your options.
You want to navigate to an address,
||or a city center, or a point on
the map. We want to go on...
||Let's say, we'll do a point on
the map, alright?
||We don't want a brief tour of the map
browser because we already know
||what we're doing, right?
Because we're GPS experts here.
||We don't need any,
we don't need any tutorials.
||But simply, we're gonna go from here.
Let's go down the street to right here.
||You say we're done.
And that's it. It'll map your route
||and tell you exactly
how to get there.
||Hit done, and it begins
your route. And, if we were in a car,
||it would be speaking to us and
telling us which way to turn.
||But we're not in a car.
So... And it knows that.
||That's how smart this GPS is.
It knows that we're not in a car,
||and won't tell us anything.
You can very easily get to your preferences
||right in here. It does have
day and night modes,
||which is going to allow you
to change to a dark color scheme
||as you can see right there,
for when you're driving around at night.
||So you don't have the bright glare
of an LCD in your face.
||So, it's really, really easy to change
all of the various options in this GPS.
||It's very, very easy to
choose your routes.
||You see that "Find Alternative"
||That is a very, very easy way
to change your route on the fly.
||Let's say you're pulling up
and you realize there's a nasty
||traffic jam out there,
you touch "Find Alternative".
||It'll tell you you can avoid a roadblock.
You can give it a specific road
||to travel through. You can tell it to
go back to the original route.
||Or, you can tell it to avoid
specific parts of your route.
||So, you simply tell it
to calculate an alternative.
||It'll figure out a new way
to get there.
||As you can see, before it was routing us
along this 41 right here.
||Now, it's routing us along 968.
So, if you know there's a traffic jam,
||it's gonna make it really, really easy
to get around that.
||Now, you can also, it also has a very,
very detailed "Points of Interest"
||library built right into it,
which allows you to very quickly find
||points of interest near you,
like gas stations,
||It's got a very, very
detailed data base on board.
||So, you're going to be able to very, very
easily navigate to anywhere you want.
||In fact, if you haven't used
one of these yet,
||if you haven't been driving around
with a GPS,
||I gotta say,
you're a crazy person.
||I mean, you almost
have to have one.
||I've had one for
the last couple years,
||and I don't know how I ever
got along without my GPS unit.
||In fact, I've owned a TomTom
GPS unit, and I absolutely loved it.
||They're really, really great.
It's got a 3.5'' touch screen.
||It's a 320 x 240 resolution.
It's got 1 GB of internal memory.
||It is expandable, so you can
add traffic information to this.
||You can add an RTS receiver
to this GPS unit
||and you will be able to pull down
||It has a two hour battery, and, as I said,
will do text-to-speech as well.
||And, you'll find that this
is a very, very inexpensive GPS,
||especially one that does
text-to-speech and has the very,
||very deep point of interest library.
And the ability to be able to be expanded,
||like this one does. Now, let me show
you the mounting hardware
||that does come
along with it.
||It does come with this
||It makes it very, very easy to mount
to the inside of your car.
||Simply slap it right on
||It also comes with a USB cable,
and it comes with an AC car adapter.
||So, you're going to be able to immediately
plug this into your car
||and start using it
right off the bat.
||If you don't have a GPS yet,
or maybe you're just dissatisfied
||with the one you have
||Maybe it's a little
||Maybe it doesn't work quite
||You're never gonna go wrong
with a TomTom.
||And this is a good one.
It's the TomTom 1S.
